About the Music

Humphrey EP

came to fruition at a time when creativity was changing with the beginning of COVID-19 and its historical effects on creative environments and the way the world interacts. For greaterkind,  it signaled the beginning of a collaborative breakthrough in regards to creative flow and navigating new ways to produce and connect at a distance. The EP, which includes tracks Nichol and Humphrey, was developed from beats created in home studios that were new to the band, and structured with a different approach to “space and creation.” This communication and musicality between Charlie Brown, Peter Knudsen and Cory Limuaco  have broken through to a new level of creation. Humphrey EP embodies freedom within form and a journey in playful discovery. The EP is a snapshot into a new realm of collective expression. The two track sampler melds instrumental grooves with melodic structures, driven by harmonic and dynamic keyboard chordal structures and fluid guitar melodies holding space for an environment and  an intent to create a unique moment each time a new note is played.
